The 2023 game, CHARGED UP, challenged robots to pick up cones and cubes, score them on a three-level grid, and balance on the charge station. Our robot, Aftermath, was a 124-pound, six-wheel tank-drive robot that could pick up game pieces from the floor and substations and score on all three levels.
Lake Superior Regional
Aftermath went 7-2 in qualifications, finishing 7th of 60. As captain of Alliance 4, we played deep into the double-elimination playoff bracket.
Iowa Regional
At the Iowa Regional in Cedar Falls we went 6-4 in qualifications. The judges honored SubZero with the Gracious Professionalism Award, which recognizes a team that shows outstanding gracious professionalism, competing hard while helping and respecting everyone around them.
